The Daisy collection debuted in 1940, to celebrate the birth of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. In the midst of the Second World War, the birth of a princess lifted the spirits of the people and Georg Jensen saw the daisy as a perfect symbol of hope. It has remained a perennial favourite amongst Jensen collectors.
