Of wide form, the roiro ground embellished with mura-nashiji, lacquered and inlaid with a continuous design of a quiver of arrows with two bows and a battledore, the latter decorated with a Heian-period court scene, in gold and coloured takamaki-e, the arrow flights of inlaid shell and the battledore with details of gold foil, the interior of nashiji with kinji edges, signed Koami Tadamitsu saku; with a black-lacquered ojime. 7cm (2¾in) high.
