A blue and white covered jar
Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China
A superb lidded vase, with a wide fluted band containing four roundels each decorated with a scene of a standing lady admiring a vase with flowers. Along the top and base as well as the lid are decorated with florals. Marked with a four character apocryphal Chenghua mark but made during the Kangxi period.

The lid possibly a replacement. Two small lines visible on the inside near to the top but do not go through to the outside. A few tiny fleabites to the sharp top edge. No other damage and no restoration.
