Horn, gilt mount. Damaged.

The miniature could not be deframed for reasons of conservation.Condition: various chips in the horn of the box and lid. Adhesive remnants of labels and scratches on the inside and outside of the bottom. Damage to mount, (oxidation) stains. Chips to the (ivory?) plate lower right. Small missing spot in the paint layer on the skull. Scratches in the glass.

Horn, vergoldete Montierung. Rund. Im Deckel eingelassene Miniatur "Büßende Magdalena" (nach Andrea Vaccaro). Besch. D. 8,5 cm. Miniatur BA 6,3 cm cm.

Die Miniatur konnte aus konservatorischen Gründen nicht ausgerahmt werden. Zustand: Diverse Ausbrüche im Horn der Dose und des Deckels. Auf Innen- und Außenseite des Bodens Kleberreste von Etiketten sowie Kratzspuren. Montierung beschädigt, (Oxidations-) Flecken. Brüche des (Elfenbein?-) Plättchens rechts unten. Kleine Fehlstelle in der Farbschicht auf dem Schädel. Kratzspuren im Glas.
