A bracelet and brooch, by Kristian Mohl-Hansen for Georg Jensen, and a later pair of earclips, by Georg Jensen The bracelet designed as a series of openwork foliate panels, with circular spacers, each depicting a dove within a wreath of foliage, accompanied by a brooch en suite, together with a pair of circular earclips, each containing a dove eating berries, against a naturalistic backdrop, signed Georg Jensen, patterns: bracelet 32, brooch 165, earclips 212 lengths: bracelet 19.0cm, brooch 4.0cm, earclip 2.0cm (3) Kristian Mohl-Hansen (1876-1962) trained as a painter at the Royal Danish Academy, and later at Zahrtmanns Skole in Copenhagen. He primarily produced nature studies and landscapes, with some of his larger pieces now in the collection of the National Museum of Art, Copenhagen. In 1904, he began to work in a freelance capacity for Georg Jensen, producing his most iconic design of the dove within a wreath shortly thereafter. His work is characterised by a rich Art Nouveau aesthetic, combining naturalistic motifs. The earclips appear to have been inspired by one of Georg Jensen's earlier designs, produced from 1927 to 1931. For a pair of cufflinks of a similar design, see Jens Ingvordsen, The Jewellery Box: Danish Jewellery Art of the 20th Century, Den Gamle By Strandberg Publishing, Copenhagen, pages 126, 175.
