A bronze countermarked coin of Agrippa I, mint of Caesarea Maritima. Obv.: Laureate bust of Claudius facing right. Around, Greek inscription [TIBEPIOC KACAP CEBACTWC ΓEPM] ( 'Tiberius Caesar Augustus Germanicus'). On right, countermark depicts head of emperor facing left. Rev.: Facade of distyle temple containing two figures standing confronted, holding circular objects in their hands; in between them, torso facing right, holding a scroll (?) and below, figure kneeling to left. Around, [BACIΛEYC] [MEΓAC] AΓPIΠΠAC ΦIΛOKAICAP (' the Great King Agrippa friend of the Caesar'). in pediment, the date L H (year 8 = 43/4 C.E.)
