carved to the cover in cinnabar and green lacquer with a large chrysanthemum blossom borne on a leafy stem issuing smaller floral buds, the box similarly decorated, all against a yellow ground
Diameter 9.7 cm, 3¾ in.
Condition Report:
There are several minor short hairline cracks to the lacquer on the rim of the cover and footring of the box and a light crackle to the black lacquer interior and base.
