A cased Edwardian sterling silver timepiece or ‘carriage clock’, Birmingham 1906 by Henry Clifford Daivs Of arched form upon four ball feet. Engraved to the reverse with twin crests, firstly; a lion sejant resting it's dexter paw on a mascle, secondly; a dexter arm, vested, holding a palm-branch. The enamel dial with Roman numerals, glazed. The single train movement with horizontal balance wheel escapement, with key. Housed in a fitted leather case branded for Noble and Chivers. Gilt interior. Fully marked to the front, part-marked to the lid. clock height – 10.5 cm / 4.1 inches
