A cased Victorian gold and garnet set Etruscan Revival swag and fringe necklace, c.1860,
a centrepiece shield form pendant with a circular cabochon garnet, rub set to the centre with a twisted wire and applied bead border. A hinged crescent bar below with a graduated, articulated fringe and a smaller pendant to each side, with swagged Brazilian snake chain between to an engraved barrel clasp. Tested as approximately 15ct gold. Centrepiece 45 x 20mm, 390mm long, 6.31g. A fitted cased, unnamed
Estimated at £2,850 - £3,000

Condition report:
A good original colour and finish overall.
One base metal replacement jump ring at the clasp.
Clasp in working order.
Some light scratches to the reverse of the pendant drops.
Some pinpoint dents - see additional images.
Tassels and decorative elements all intact.
A very small repair to one tassel of the smallest pendant drop. This is at the base and only noticeable if you try and move it where it joins the half hoop.
Slight bend to the tip of one tassel.
Minor natural marks to the garnets under 10x magnification.
No scratches, scuffs or wear.
