A cased Victorian sterling silver card case, Birmingham 1851 by Thomas Dones of shaped rectangular with a hinged lid. An engraved bouquet of roses and snow drops, reserved with engine turned decoration edged with engraved foliate scrolls, shell work and lattice work reserves. The obverse with an asymmetrical C scroll vacant cartouche, reserved with engine turned decoration edged the same. Fully marked to base flange. Housed in a Moroccan leather case with a punch work border of palmettes, velvet lined. Length – 9.6 cm / 3.75 inches Weight – 29 grams / 0.93 ozt
