A cased former Austro-Hungarian diamond set bow and hoop brooch, by Ernest Paltsho, Vienna, c.1900,
with a two row ribbon bow. An old European cut diamond, rub set to the centre, with graduated old Swiss cut diamonds, grain set throughout. An entwined hoop through the bow loops, damaged, rub set with graduated old European cushion cut, rose cut and old Swiss cut diamonds, with a plain pin and visor catch. All set in silver and backed in gold. Tested as silver and approximately 14ct gold. 71 x 35mm, 14.14g
