A cast iron portrait plate of Leopold, Archduke of Baden, Mannheim, circa 1830Rectangular plate of blackened cast iron. Portrait of Grand Duke Leopold in uniform in front of an architectural background. In original cast iron profile frame, the corners applied with acanthus leaves. The back of the plate inscribed "Leopold Großherzog von Baden, Herzog von Zaehringen" and "gegossen in der Eisengießerei Philipp Schweizer Sohn in Mannheim" (cast in the Philipp Schweizer Sohn iron foundry). Dimensions of the plate 25 x 19.5 cm, with frame 34.5 x 28.5 cm.Condition: I - II
