A cavalry sabre à garde de bataille - a copy from the 19th/20th century
Sturdy, straight blade with double fullers on both sides (darkened, stained), the back etched “Mfture Imple du Klingenthal”, double-edged head in the back line. Cast brass knuckle-bow hilt with four bars on the obverse and knuckle guard with applied grenade symbol, leather-covered grip, brass wire wrap. Brass scabbard with a longitudinal oval opening on each side with black leather lining, two movable suspension rings. Signs of use and age. Length 115 cm. Very representative.
