the ruyi-head and the shaft inset with reticulated plaques depicting egrets amidst a lotus pond, the end inset with a smaller oval plaque with two sinuous chilong prowling and grasping lingzhi in their jaws

Small chips to the raised parts of the carving on all three plaques. The bottom plaque broken into two pieces and reglued. The wood sceptre with wear and splits.
