A choice Persian bronze cosmetic jar, c. 1000 - 600 BC, standing on three feet that are in the form of Persian round-tipped shoes, the body adorned with horizontal ridges, two holes near the rim for attaching a lid or stopper. The jar is constructed to lean slightly to one side for easy access with a finger or applicator. H: 2 1/2 in (6.3 cm). Nicely patinated. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
