A choice Roman bronze bust of a woman

A choice Roman bronze bust of a woman, early 1st Century AD, possibly representing a Julio-Claudian in the style Antonia Minor. Her hair is styled back in waves and drawn into a coiled plait at the nape of her neck, small curls descend from either side onto her shoulders. Her facial features are in fine style and the entire piece is a wonderful example! 2 3/4 x 2 1/4 in (7 x 5.7 cm). In beautiful condition with a lovely green patina. Ex Barstow, CA family collection acquired prior to 1990.
