the oviform vase with splayed foot and short neck, copper mounts, decorated in coloured cloisonné enamels on a black ground and worked in various thicknesses of silver wire, with butterflies and moths among chrysanthemums heads and scrolling foliage, a band of lappets to the shoulder, with an applied silver tablet to the base with inscribed mark Kyoto Namikawa

The base with slight dents and wear to gilt, tablet probably added.
