the oviform vase with waisted tall neck and everted rim, decorated in various coloured enamels and thicknesses of gold and silver wire on a royal blue ground, with intricately delineated butterflies and moths of different sizes in flight, the neck with dense karakusa and paulownia, copper-gilt mounts
