A composite Victorian silver candelabrum.

A composite Victorian silver candelabrum, the filled square stepped base with oblique gadroon detail rising to a Corinthian column stem, supporting a matched removable upper section with curved twin branches leading to conforming sockets with detachable nozzles, and central removable flame snuffer. Lower section hallmarked Hawksworth, Eyre & Co Ltd, Sheffield 1895, upper section hallmarked London 1873, no visible maker's mark. Height 16.5" (42cm).

Condition Report:
With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Lower section with some small knocks and small indentations throughout, particularly to base. Removable nozzle fixed and can not be detached, however slight gap visible between nozzle and column, and edge of column slightly knocked in places. Upper section also with some indentations, including to upper part of sockets visible when nozzles removed, and underside of central pan. Undersides of pans, and in particularly central example with some raised solder, probably from construction. Holes visible around tops of Corinthian style sockets, some larger than others, possibly as a result of wear. One removable nozzle does not sit flush into socket.
