A cream painted and marble topped side cabinet in Regency style, late 19th/early 20th century and later adapted as a radiator cover, 83cm high, 144cm wide, 33cm deepProvenance: Private collection removed from 9, Royal Crescent, BathCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOld splits and cracks, some chips and losses, one rear corner with lifting to veneers, there are vertical splits and cracks to the sides of the chestThe white marble top with the usual chips and knocks to the extremities, also various marks and stains, areas of dirt and discolouration. Various scratches and indentations alsoThe white painted surface is not original, there are signs of older paint beneath the current surfacesThe pleated material to the inside is later, the metalwork with dirt, discolouration, wear and losses and old breaks, this is crudely pinned in placeOverall solid and stableThis has no internal fittings or way of accessing them - there are some old painted over hinges to one side of the cabinet where this was probably previously accessible.
