A cultured pearl, enamel and diamond necklace, centring on a pink enamel shell motif suspended from a green, blue and white enamel foliate scroll bar surmount, accented with seed pearls and a circular-cut diamond, to a later cultured pearl necklace with seed pearl barrel clasp, one seed pearl deficient, length 39cm, c.1890 and later.
Minor abrasions and scratches commensurate with age and use, clasp secure, pearls well matched, white body colour, medium lustre, loses and wear to enamel throughout, small area of lead solder to reverse to shell drop bail.
