A dagger of the Hungarian Defence Ministry No maker, polished steel blade, ornate gold-plated cross-guard with semi-precious stones inset in decorative cut-out motif. Gold-plated grip with dedication plate engraved "SCHNEKTA PETER EZREDES ELVTARSNAK 1971.NOV.4. A HONVEDELMI MINISZTERTUL" and red octagonal-shaped stone inset at top of grip. Scabbard of blue-green enameling with gold inlay accents, a round marble stone inset at tip. Length ca. 31.5 cm. Includes red leather case, size ca. 35 x 11 x 5 cm. Extremely rare.
