A deluxe turnover flintlock rifle, Gilles de Sellier
Two-stage barrels, octagonal then round, with smooth bores in 16 mm calibre. The raised barrel ribs signed "Gille de Sellier". At the breeches engraved and cut with raised tendril decoration. At the base of each barrel three gold-lined marks with standing lions (Hintze no. 8241). Lock with finely engraved and cut décor, repeated signature. Richly cut openwork side plate. Slightly carved walnut full stock with engraved and cut iron furniture. Wooden ramrod with iron tip inserted on the side. Length 116 cm.
