A diamond and ruby hexagonal target ring, c.1940, an old cut diamond off-centrally set in a rub over collet, within a crescent surround of calibré cut rubies, into an outer border of graduated old cut diamonds, all bead set to a hexagonal plate with engraved gallery. With chenier shoulders to a 'D' section band. Stamped 'PLAT' and tested as platinum. Principal diamond estimated as approximately 0.45ct. Head 12.00 x 13.50mm, 4.18g Ring size L¼ Buying this diamond ring at auction could save up to 0.42 tonnes of CO2e compared to buying new. Condition Report: Wear to the outer edges of the setting tiers. Oxidation of the metal where the shoulders meet the ring head. Band shows evidence of resizing.
