From the collection of the late Shirley Case of Missouri. Here is a beautifully created example of inlay work known as Pique from the 19th century. The sailing vessel and figure are engraved silver and brass inlaid into a brown natural horn base and enhanced with colorful pearl and abalone ships for the water.
