A division one scarce molded Ivoroid pictorial button
1 Large size 19th century hard to find celluloid button.
This button depicts what is called the "Christmas Angel" and is made of celluloid known as Ivoroid as it imitates the natural material. Celluloid was invented in 1850 and these buttons date to around 1870 or so. This is a very hard example to find and always prized among collectors.
Issued: DIVISION 1=PRE 1918 AND DIVISION 3 IS AFTER 1918
