A doucai ‘shou and peach’ dish, Tongzhi six-character mark and of the period.
The shallow dish rising on a short foot, the well decorated in red and green enamels and underglaze blue with a medallion depicting a peach tree, the trunk gnarled and curved to form a shou character amid lingzhi and taihu rocks, the exterior similarly decorated with three peach trees in the form of shou characters, set against underglaze blue scroll, the underside inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character Tongzhi mark. Period: Tongzhi six-character mark and of the period (1856 1875). Diameter: 14,5 cm.
