A dragoon shashka pattern M 1881, dated 1911
Slightly curved, sharp-edged blade with a single edge (darkened, pitted), stamped at the ricasso in Cyrillic with the round brand of the Zlatoust arms factory and the year “1911”. Brass hilt with a diagonally ribbed wooden grip (minor losses), the crossguard stamped several times with the maker's mark of the Zlatoust arms factory, 1911. Attached sword knot (cracked). Wooden scabbard covered with black leather (minor leather losses, cut marks) with brass fittings (all stamped “A”). Partially slightly damaged, signs of use and age. Length 103.5 cm.
