A fantastic Egyptian bronze figure of seated Osiris

A fantastic Egyptian bronze figure of seated Osiris, Late Period, 26th Dynasty, 664 - 525 BC, with retaining inlaid eyes and with silver inlay on the feathers of his crown. The god of the underworld is depicted seated mummiform, wearing Atef crown with uraeus and false beard, arms crossed at chest and holding a crook and flail. Beautifully detailed and of impressive stature. H: 6 5/8 in (16.8 cm). Nicely patinated with lucite base. Ex Detroit private collection.
