comprising central hollow-cast bronze depicting the mythical winged figure Icarus with wings spread taking flight from a rocky outcrop, signed 'G.Colin' to side of base and bearing Contenot-Lelievre foundry stamp and '8421' foundry number to rear, flanked by hollow-cast bronze eagle and vulture perched with wings outstretched, mounted on original dark green marble plinth incorporating shallow pen well and two concealed inkwells with original liners , the whole raised on brass feet and measuring 38cm high, 48cm wide.
