A fine antique large German walnut sporting / target crossbow, probably 18th century, walnut tiller with flaring rest of characteristic form, robust steel bow with indistinct foundry mark, brass furniture and brass lined bolt channel with bone cord stop, later back site, iron stirrup, overall length 38in. (96.5cm.)
