A fine gilt silver headpiece inset with Turquoise and Coral - Tajikistan / Uzbekistan - 1900
Called Tilla Barghak in the native language, it is typical to Tajikistan at the beginning of the 20th century. it is made of a row of 15 square links inset with Turquoise in rosette design with a coral in center. 5 central alternating links are decorated with an additional rosette inset with black cabochon in center and turquoise in the perimeter.
Under the links hang a row of embossed rosette-shaped pendants inset with turquoise and followed by embossed teardrop-shaped pendants.
On the side metal hooks, can be used to connect the headpiece to a headdress.
