carved to depict the head and shoulders of probably Demeter and Persephone, both with floral garlands in their hair, and the attributes of a sheaf of corn, crescent moon and stars and with a dove perched on a quiver of arrows, collet-set within a yellow gold frame applied with a ropetwist border
