A finely painted Tibetan thangka of Tsongkapa in his form of Dombi Heruka. 19th century

Depicting one of Khedrup Je’s five visions of lama Tsongkhapa as a yogi on a tiger bearing a flaming sword and a skull cup with nectar, accompanied by various deities, amidst a mountainous landscape, with taras flanked by mahasiddhas in the sky. Gouache and gold on cloth. With a fine brocade mounting. Traces of usage due to the age.
