leather-lined card game top with gold toolings, chess and backgammon top with boxwood inlays and ebonised wood having a part that rises for reading support, side with drawer with partitions for inkwell, pounce pot and pen holder, interior with wood rim for framing the backgammon board, "wafer" feet, bronze mounts, accompanied by late carved bone chess pieces, one set dyed red, pierced bone backgammon set, one set dyed red, and bone dominoes (up to nine) with darkened black grooves
