A flintlock carbine for a left-handed person, Caspar Kopstadt in Coesfeld, dated 1713
Description: Robust octagonal, slightly waisted barrel rifled with seven grooves in 17 mm calibre. Dovetail sights with engraved folding rear sight. Next to the breech the finely engraved signature "Caspar D. Kopstadt - Cosfeldt Anno 1713". Lock with strongly domed plate and engraved scrolling leaves. Finely carved walnut full stock, butt stock with spring-loaded sliding lid. Stock with sporadic worming, tension crack in the butt stock, cracks at the sideplate and the right side of the forestock. Lightly engraved iron furniture. Original wooden ramrod with dark horn tip and long iron threaded sleeve. Length 100 cm.
