A gauge 3 model of a 4-4-0 London North Western Railway Alfred the Great Class tender locomotive No 1944 Victoria and Albert, the model built by the late Mr Fred Wrighton, circa 1960, who was also a well known builder of gauge one models.
The coal fired boiler with fittings including water sight-glass, pressure gauge, regulator and direction control lever. The six wheel tender with fitted tool boxes, hand operated water feed pump and gallery. The model finished in traditional black lined livery with fitted steps, handrails, couplings and vacuum hoses. Total Length 68cm. Cab width 11cm.
