A gilt and lacquered Burmese Buddha figurine, 17th/18th centuryThe heavy bronze figurine cast in one piece, representing Buddha sitting on a stepped, contoured pedestal. Most of the lacquered gilding on the front is preserved. Dressed in a finely engraved monk's habit, the left hand in Bhumisparsha mudra, the fingers of the right hand extended to touch the ground. Movable figures of adoring assistants around the figure, three servants with offerings at the foot of the pedestal. The head broken off and restored at the neck. Signs of age. Height 43 cm.Condition: II
