The kinji ground decorated in gold and slightly coloured takamaki-e with a cockerel perched on an ivy-clad drum and rooster standing on the ground on one side and an overarching pine branch on the reverse, the interior of nashiji, unsigned, the metal tubular ojime carved with a peony; unsigned. 8.3cm (3¼in) high.
