A gold opal, ruby and diamond necklace. The opal drop, with rose-cut diamond and circular-shape ruby spiralling snake cap, suspended from an opal bead accent trace-link chain. French assay marks. Length 39.5cms. Weight 9.2gms. Purchasing information Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Evidence of alterations/ repair work. Several rubies and diamonds deficient to the snake. Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate weight estimation and colour and clarity assessment.

Diamonds appear to have some moderate inclusions. Some with small chips and nicks. Opals are well matched, with a translucent appearance and good play of colour displaying a range of hues, predominantly blue to green.

Opals in good condition with minor abrasions. Rubies generally in good condition. Few chipped. Length of drop section 6.5cms. French assay marks for 18ct gold to the clasp. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
