A gold ring, centred by a rectangular table-cut hessonite garnet of warm brownish-orange colour, set within a raised square bezel, the stone is enclosed by a substantial architectural setting with a finely beaded or pellet border around the lower edge of the bezel, the shoulders are modelled in high relief with scrolling and moulded detail, tapering into a slender hoop, likely early 17th century, size N, 2.9 grams, presented in a later antique fitted red leather ring box, marked Huddy Bros., Watchmakers and Jewellers, Boscawen Street and Cathedral Lane, Truro
