A good early 19th century 40 bore Scottish all metal flintlock belt pistol by Marshall & Sons, Edinburgh, 10" overall, barrel 7" with fluted breech, flared and engraved muzzle, and scroll engraved centre section, with signed scroll engraved lock and cock with pierced disc comb, the silver coloured stock engraved overall with scrolls, panels and vacant oval escutcheons, with ramshorn butt, ball pricker and trigger, finely pierced and fluted steel belt hook, and steel ramrod. GWO & near VGC (the top jaw and screw replaced). Although not marked the stock shows every sign of being silver. £1000-1500
