A gorgeous Mitanni cylinder seal with great preservation

A gorgeous Mitanni cylinder seal, c.1500 - 1300 BC, in rich mottled brown stone, depicting two male figures in supplication, a lion and large trident before them. The two figures stand beneath a fringed canopy wearing flounced robes, one with tall pointed headdress. The entire scene is bordered above and below by a single line cuneiform inscription. 37.5 x 16 mm. Nice detail, light surface wear from having been in a pendant. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
