A group of Egyptian faience amulets & fragments
A group of Egyptian faience amulets & fragments collected 1913-1915. Dating from the New Kingdom to Late Period, c. 1570 - 332 BC, the group includes pieces of Djed pillar amulets, amulets of Bes, the Eye of Horus, feline, canine and serpent deities, as well as small plaque amulets and even a dark blue miniature scarab, as well as other fragmentary pendants and beads. In colors of vibrant blue to light blue, blue-green, beige and white. An interesting study lot of small objects! Ex Ernest Freemark collection acquired 1913-1915; Ex R. Knickerbocker collection, NY by descent.
