A group of Roman bronze coins/tokens. A lot of 14 Late Roman bronze coins/tokens with antique collector's note reading, 'Money for the dead, from an Egyptian mummy case found in tomb at Luxor, Egypt 1899'. Likely sold by locals to tourists who didn't know better and interesting thus. Letter folds with central handwritten note. Ex collection of Maj. James Findlay, Scotland, acquired in the 1950's-60's, thence by descent; originally acquired in 1899.
