The photograph with the nagari on the mount may show Maharana Fateh Singh of Mewar in a more informal pose than other portraits. The inscription seems to
indicate that the photograph was taken in the month of Chaitra (a month in various Indian calendars) in Chittorgarh with a 'full size' camera.
The Urdu inscription on one photograph reads: tasvir-i munshi anand [?] lalji valad-i munshi bhawani dasji ki hai, 'It is a portrait of Munshi Anand(?) Lalji, son of Munshi Bhawani Dasji'.
