Based on the H.G. Wells novel, War of the Worlds stars Gene Barry and Ann Robinson as two residents of California who must face a Martian invasion that is indestructible, even when subjected to an atomic bomb. Filmed in Technicolor and produced by George Pal, the film is considered by many to be one of the greatest science fiction films of all time.
