the hemispherical dial with spring loaded dial and marked with seven declination lines, relevant zodiac symbols and hours 6-12-6, the base plate mounted with small compass, glass cracked, surrounded by 1-12 and 1-12 scales, the outside surfaces with engraved foliate and looped design decorations,
