Schneider’s watch manufactoryThis is a movement created by Adolf Schneider’s watch manufactory dating from the 1850s which was eventually fitted into a case by his son and main heir Heinrich Woldemar Schneider in the late 1880s. The difficult financial situation Heinrich Woldemar Schneider experienced was a consequence of having to pay out his four siblingsv who were also entitled to an inheritance. As H.W. Schneider was not able to fulfill the financial obligations, the company went into liquidation in 1893.
