Qing dynasty, 18th century
清十八世紀 角雕穿花螭龍紋盃
in the shape of a large lotus leaf born on a high relief stem forming the foot, carved and pierced around the exterior with leafy scrolling lotus and to one end with a large chilong writhing through the stems
Length 11.5 cm, 4½ in.
Condition Report:
The cup has five cracks through the ring foot, one with an associated circa 5mm., triangular repaired chip to the inside edge of the foot, a loss to a section of one leaf originally joining the ring foot and a small chip to the tip of one leaf just below the rim.
